Compliance Analyst
Job Description:
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local government regulations. Assists with major compliance projects, research, data gathering, and submission of process documents.
Responsibilities:
- Provide general support to the Regulatory Compliance department.
- Familiarity with consumer compliance laws, such as Consumer Privacy laws, Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), FRB’s Regulation E, etc.
- Familiarity with payment related compliance requirements, such as EFTA, NACHA and credit card network rules.
- Experience with implementing anti-money laundering and anti-terrorist compliance programs.
- Coordinate with multiple business partners, including Legal, Product, Marketing and Engineering.
- Assist with the preparation and completion of regulatory and compliance policies, procedures, and strategy documents.
- Independently completes detailed research, analysis and reporting of compliance matters.
- Assist business units in establishing procedures, controls, and reporting to manage compliance risk.
- Maintain accurate, organized and current records and documentation in a manner consistent with the departments needs.
- Conduct special projects as needed to support the compliance department and business growth.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic training and experience.
- At least 3 years of compliance-related experience.
- Experience in the compliance and/or audit fields is required.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Extremely organized and detail oriented.
- Sound judgment skills.
- Very reliable and trustworthy.
- Willingness to learn and apply new skills.
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office applications
Qualification Pluses:
- Knowledge of FFIEC requirements.
- IT/online banking compliance experience.
- Experience reviewing new products for compliance.
- Knowledge of social media compliance risks.
- Preferred certifications: CAMS, CIA.
