Bank of the West Using CashEdge Tool

CashEdge Inc. announced Wednesday that BNP Paribas SA's Bank of the West in San Francisco has begun offering the vendor's online account opening and funding application to its retail banking customers.
The $66.9 billion-asset Bank of the West is using CashEdge's OpenNow/FundNow application to let new customers open and fund accounts in real time during a single session on the financial company's online banking site, the New York funds transfer technology vendor said.
CashEdge said its consumer research shows that 82% of consumers expect their bank to offer the ability to open accounts online.
