CashEdge unveils Popmoney for Small Business solution

CashEdge, a provider of Intelligent Money Movement services, has launched Popmoney for Small Business, a new electronic invoice and payment solution.

Popmoney for Small Business is designed specifically for small business customers of financial institutions. The solution provides businesses with a capability to pay vendors and employees electronically using only an email or mobile number. They may also pay using an account number.

Through Popmoney for Small Business solution, small businesses can conduct invoicing, receive payments via ACH or credit card, make and track payments, send invoice reminders and view payment history all directly from their bank’s online banking portal or mobile application through the Popmoney platform.

CashEdge Product and Marketing global head Catherine Palmieri said that with Popmoney for Small Business, businesses can send payments and invoices via email and mobile, and get paid faster electronically.

San Francisco-based Bank of the West will deploy CashEdge’s consumer Popmoney service in 2010, and will launch its small business invoicing and payment service in the first half of 2011, becoming the first bank in the nation using CashEdge’s Popmoney for Small Business.
